The Right Slice has some slight schedule changes

Apr 16, 2012

Can you believe that it is nearly a year since we started moving into our current location?  WOW!  Time flies!

We have done a lot in the past 10 months!  We hired and trained a fantastic new staff, we lived and learned through the growing pains of moving and expanding (thank you all for your patience), we added several new products:

Savory Pot Pies

Slippah Turnovers

Menehune Pie Bites

Lotus Blossoms

Pie Shakes

We plan to add several more fun new items to our line in the upcoming summer months, so be sure to stick close!  If you haven’t yet ‘Liked” us on Facebook…that is where all the fun is announced!  So be sure to follow us on Facebook!  This is also where you can go to see our daily shop offerings!

While I can’t quite let the cat out of the bag on a few new things we are working on, I can tell you, since many of you have tested for us, that we will be offering Frozen take and bake pies by June.  This will include both sweet and savory flavors.  By mid-summer we also plan to add homemade ice cream to our Puhi shop offerings as well as cold and refreshing ice cream pies.  There is also a rumor of whoopie pies making a comeback!  We haven’t seen those at The Right Slice in nearly two years!  Watch for classic and tropical flavors coming this summer!

We have some work to do at the bakery in order to get ready for these new additions, so please be patient as we update our electrical to allow for more refrigeration units in our store space.

You may have also noticed that our beautiful garden lanai is looking a bit sparce lately.  That is because we are getting ready to welcome new neighbors behind our shop.  They should begin construction very soon, so please be patient with us as we work thru the dust!  But don’t worry!  It means all good things for The Right Slice in 2012!!!

We also have a couple of slight schedule changes to announce.

  • We will no longer be setting up a booth at the Saturday, KCC Farmer’s Market in Lihue.  If you are a faithful farmer’s market goer, you will be happy to hear that our friends at Moloa’a Bay Coffee have once again offered to sell both baby pies and menehune pie bites for us on Saturdays…so you can still get your Pie Fix!  But…if you are feeling like a short three block drive, stop by our Puhi Location on Saturdays!  We will soon be opening on Saturdays at 10 am, to better serve you.  This means you can support your local farmer’s at the market then buzz on over for some weekend pot pies.  Easy dinner!  Gotta love it!
  • We will also be shortening our farmer’s market on the North Shore.  Our Tuesday Waipa market has been going quite well, as always, but we will be changing our hours available from 2-4 to 2-3.  We will often still be at the market until 3:30 or 4 pm, but we have been selling out quite often and don’t want you to be dissapointed if you come late and we are already gone…so set your watches and be sure to get to Waipa on Tuesdays early!  Did you hear that we are also taking our savory take adn bake pot pies to the Waipa Farmer’s Market?  Don’t miss em!  Ono-lishious!
  • You can also get Take and Bake pot pies at our Wednesday Kukui’ula Culinary Market from 4-6, but come early…once they are gone they are gone.
  • If you have a craving for pot pies but can’t make it to our Puhi location, set your sights on Hanapepe Art Night.  Fridays from 5-9 pm in old Hanapepe Town we are now offering HOT AND READY to eat savory pot pies, right along side of our sweet pie slices! Come early, we have sold out every week so far!

Thanks for keeping up to date with us, sharing your pie enthusiasm stories and support
