March on Kauaʻi feels like a gentle reset. The heavier winter rains begin to ease, waterfalls are still flowing, and the air carries that fresh green scent that only happens this time of year. It’s not peak summer yet. It’s not holiday rush season. It’s that sweet in-between moment where the island breathes a little deeper.

A drive out to Waimea Canyon in early March is unreal. The canyon walls glow red and green, and if the clouds cooperate, you can see clear to the ocean. It’s one of those places that reminds you how lucky we are to call this island home. After a morning exploring, nothing feels better than settling into something warm and comforting flaky crust, seasonal fruit, or a savory pot pie fresh from the oven.
As we begin this new month, we’re leaning into flavors that feel bright and balanced citrus, tropical fruit, toasted macadamia. What does March taste like to you?
