This Fourth of July is especially meaningful as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States and the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Two and a half centuries is a remarkable milestone, and it gives us a special reason to pause, reflect, and celebrate the traditions that bring families, friends, and communities together.
For generations, pie has had a place at American tables. It has been served at picnics, holiday gatherings, Sunday dinners, military homecomings, family reunions, and Fourth of July celebrations across the country. There is something wonderfully simple and timeless about sharing pie with people you love.
Here on Kauaʻi, we celebrate in our own island way—with beach days, backyard gatherings, local food, family, fireworks, and plenty of aloha. Whether your holiday table is filled with grilled favorites, potluck dishes, fresh fruit, or a favorite pie, we hope the day feels joyful, safe, and meaningful.
