National Peach Ice Cream Day

Jul 19, 2026

Apple Pie with Melting Vanilla Ice Cream and Coffee

Today is National Peach Ice Cream Day, and even though peaches are not the first fruit people think of when they think of Hawaiʻi, they still carry that wonderful feeling of summer. Sweet, fragrant, juicy fruit and cold ice cream are a classic warm-weather combination.

Peach also reminds us of why fruit desserts are so loved. They do not have to be complicated to be beautiful. A good fruit dessert is about balance: sweetness, brightness, texture, and just enough richness to make it feel like a treat.

It is usually about this time of year we can get fresh peaches brought in. Shall we do some fresh peach pies this month?

Of course, we cannot help thinking about pie. Peach pie, fruit pie, and ice cream all belong in the same happy conversation. A warm slice with a cold scoop on top is one of those combinations that never goes out of style.

So let’s vote: would you choose peach pie, peach ice cream, or peach pie with ice cream on top? We have a feeling we know which answer many pie lovers will choose.
