Testing out new markets here at The Right Slice

We have now had a month in at some of our new events.  It is going well!

I am excited to say that our Wednesday Culinary Marketat Kukui’ula Shopping Village is a HUGE success!  If you haven’t stopped by yet you MUST check it out!  We are there from 4-6 pm on Wednesdays.  At 5 pm there is a great cooking demonstration by one of the village’s chefs.  Each week it is different, so you can learn something new every week.  We have tons of local produce, flowers and plants, as well as bakery items, fresh jams and sauces, fresh roasted coffees and more!!!

Did you know you can place a special order for pie to be picked up at any of our weekly events?  Or right at our bakery?  Just give us a minimum of 2 days notice and we will have it ready and waiting for you!  That way you are sure to get your favorite flavor!!!

Another event that we started in July is the Monday Farmer’s Market at Kuku’i Grove.  We set up right behind K-mart on Mondays from 3-4:30 or so.  It is a SUPER market to get LOCAL produce…..some great fruits and veggies that I had never seen here on Kaua’i before!  Yesterday I saw the NICEST bamboo shoots!  All kinds of great stuff!  This is another market where you can get slices or whole pies both!  And don’t forget, you can order ahead!

Our Kapa’a Monday Mornings are slowly growing….stop by from 11-1 on Mondays for a slice, or take a baby pie into work to share!  🙂  Find us at Kojimas right on the main Hwy.  We are testing this one for another month to see how it grows!  Spread the word, those of you on the East Side!!!

Finally, we are taking a break from the Thursday Market at Hanapepe’s Aloha Theatre Marketplace, while we look for more vendors.  So keep your eyes on the blog for details, or check out our Face Book page for daily updates.  If you know anyone offering a unique value added product here on Kaua’i, have them get in touch with me about being apart of our Aloha Theatre Marketplace on Thursdays from 2:30-4.  Hopefully we will have it up and running again in a month or so.

Of course you can still find us at our classic hangouts.  Friday nights in Hanapepe at the Festival and Art Night from 5-9 right in front of the TalkStory Bookstore, and Saturday mornings from 9-noon at KCC campus in Lihue!

Don’t forget to save room for the pie!!!

And of course if you are hungry for a slice, you can always swing by the Kalaheo Steak and Ribs restaurant Tuesday thru Sunday from 5-9 for dinner and a slice of pie, or stop at the Koloa Deli from 7-7….grab a couple of sandwiches, some pie and hit the beach!
