On October 7, 2009, we opened the doors to The Right Slice. Seventeen years later, we’re still here in Kalāheo, rolling dough, filling pie shells, and doing our best to make something you’ll be happy to take home. It’s hard to picture just how many moments our pies have been part of over those years. Some went to birthday parties and holiday tables. Some were picked up for family dinners when nobody felt like cooking. And some were simply a slice for one person who decided an ordinary day could use a little pie.

Along the way, you’ve visited us at the shop, found us at markets, brought friends in to try your favorite flavor, and shared stories with us across the counter. We’ve gotten to know familiar faces, watched families grow, and welcomed visitors who return to see us whenever they come back to Kauaʻi. Those connections mean more to us than you may realize. There have been long days, early mornings, and plenty of changes since 2009. This year, especially, has reminded us how much it matters to have a community around us as we recover from the hurricane. Every order, visit, kind word, and recommendation has helped keep our ovens going. We feel that support, and we are grateful for it.
I also want to thank our crew a pie shop takes a lot of hands and a lot of care. The people who show up to bake, help customers, wash dishes, pack orders, and tackle all the little things in between are a huge part of The Right Slice’s story. If you’ve been with us since the beginning, thank you for sticking around. If you found us recently, we’re glad you did. You’ve all helped make these seventeen years possible. Here’s to the memories already made, the pies still to come, and the people we get to share them with. We hope you’ll stop by and celebrate with a slice today!
With love and aloha,
Sandy and the crew at The Right Slice
