Kapa‘a First Saturday Art Night Is Almost Here!

The first Saturday of September is almost here, and that means it’s time for Kapa‘a First Saturday Art Night! If you’ve never spent a First Saturday evening in Kapa‘a, put it on your Kaua‘i to-do list. There’s something special about seeing the town come alive with people walking around, visiting local businesses, discovering local makers, enjoying good food, and simply spending an evening together. It’s one of those nights that reminds us why we love being part of a small island community. And, of course, we’re bringing PIE! 🥧We’ll be there Saturday, September 5th, and we’d love for you to stop by our booth and say hello. Whether you already know exactly which pie you’re hoping to take home or you like to see what catches your eye when you arrive, come hungry!

There’s always a little excitement at a market when someone walks up to the table and starts deciding what to choose. Do you go with an old favorite? Try something you’ve never had before? Grab a slice for right now and another one for later? We certainly won’t judge if the answer is all three. One of our favorite parts about attending local events isn’t just selling pies it’s seeing everyone. We get to catch up with longtime customers, meet visitors who have never tried The Right Slice before, and introduce new people to some of the flavors we love. Sometimes we see customers we haven’t seen in months. Other times someone stops at our booth and tells us they’ve been following us online but this is their first chance to try one of our pies. Those conversations are a big part of why we enjoy getting out into the community. Owning a small business on Kaua‘i means so much more than what happens inside the walls of our Kalaheo shop. Events like First Saturday give all of us a chance to get out, connect, and support one another. When you spend an evening in Kapa‘a, you’re not just finding something fun to do. You’re supporting local artists, makers, restaurants, shops, food businesses, and families who put a tremendous amount of time and heart into what they do. Every purchase from a local business matter and we appreciate every single person who chooses to support small businesses here on Kaua‘i.

Don’t just stop by, grab your pie, and head home! Give yourself some time to wander around Kapa‘a. See what the local artists have created, pop into a business you’ve never visited before, grab something good to eat, listen to what’s happening around town, and enjoy being outside with friends and family. And somewhere along the way, come find The Right Slice booth. Stop by for something sweet, take a pie home for Sunday, or just come say hi. We genuinely love seeing familiar faces at these events, and if we haven’t met you yet, introduce yourself! If you’re visiting Kaua‘i, this is also a great opportunity to experience a little bit of the community beyond the beaches and sightseeing. Talk to the vendors. Ask where things are made or grown. Try something local. You might discover a new favorite place or a new favorite pie.
